Our service territory covers the entire state of Florida, including Brevard County, Broward County, Charlotte County, Citrus County, Collier County, Dade County, Desoto County, Flagler County, Glades County, Hardee County, Hendry County, Hernando County, Highlands County, Hillsborough County, Indian River County, Lake County, Lee County, Levy County, Manatee County, Marion County, Martin County, Monroe County, Okeechobee County, Orange County, Osceola County, Palm Beach County, Pasco County, Pinellas County, Polk County, Sarasota County, Seminole County, St. Lucie County, Sumter County, and Volusia County.
  • Is SecuriPanes cheaper than other impact window companies?

Customers who present us with competing estimates generally find our pricing fifteen to twenty percent lower on equivalent products. This difference reflects our business model rather than temporary discounts: we do not employ commissioned sales closers, we avoid high-pressure second-visit tactics, and we do not artificially inflate prices for in-home negotiations. Our pricing ranges are published for advance review, and we honor every quote for twelve months, allowing you to compare without obligation.
  • Is Pinellas County in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone?

Pinellas County is not part of Florida's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, which is limited to Miami-Dade and Broward counties. Construction in Pinellas County follows the statewide Florida Building Code and references Florida Product Approval numbers instead of Miami-Dade Notices of Acceptance. However, much of coastal Pinellas falls within a wind-borne debris region, meaning impact-resistant glazing or approved opening protection remains a code requirement.
  • Are impact windows required by law on my Florida home?

Impact windows are mandated for all new construction, renovations that exceed fifty percent of the structure's assessed value, and any replacement project that changes the opening dimensions or structural framing. For a direct like-for-like replacement on an existing home, the requirement typically originates from your insurance company rather than local building authorities.
  • What is a design pressure rating, and what do I need?

Design pressure quantifies the wind load a window can withstand in both positive and negative directions, expressed in pounds per square foot. The rating you require is determined by exposure category, opening dimensions, and elevation above grade. Coastal properties in the Tampa Bay area located within six hundred feet of open water typically require DP 50 or greater, while protected inland locations may only need DP 40.
  • Do I need a permit to replace windows in Pinellas County?

Window and door replacement in Pinellas County requires a permit, which must be reviewed and approved prior to starting work, followed by mandatory inspections. Permit applications must include product approval numbers and manufacturer specifications. SecuriPanes Windows & Doors handles permit acquisition, coordinates rough-opening and final inspections, and includes all associated costs in the price we quote.
  • How much will impact windows lower my insurance premium?

Florida Statute 627.0629 mandates that insurance carriers offer premium discounts for verified wind mitigation improvements, and the opening-protection credit typically represents the largest available reduction. The exact savings vary by carrier, county, and policy details. Importantly, the credit applies only when every glazed opening is protected — a single unrated window or door can disqualify the entire discount.
